Latitude E6410 using Win7 Pro - unable to go online with this laptop
Hello, I'm new so please bear with me.
This connection is established using a desktop pc also using Win 7. Connection is via a TP-Link ADSL2+ modem/router - TD8817 through TPG as ISP.
I've sifted through all the drivers the wonderful Dell site provides, using the service tag number, and downloaded and installed quite a few that might possibly be correct. But Device Manager still shows Broadcom USH and Ethernet Controller as having no drivers. Both show manufacturer as "Unknown", so that's made it difficult to pinpoint the correct drivers. Of course, clicking "Update Driver" can't work as the laptop is not online.
Any help would be much appreciated as I've spent many, many hours so far on trying to fix this and be able to use this powerful laptop on my home broadband.
Thanks, Peter

Hi Peter,
Welcome to Dell community!
Please try installing the following drivers:
Ethernet controller - http://dell.to/10L7B1T
Dell ControlPoint Security Device Driver Pack- http://dell.to/1cQP8xl
You may download these drivers on a different computer with internet access and transfer them to your Latitude E6410 using a USB flash drive. In addition to the above drivers, please refer the following article that has detailed instructions regarding drivers installation: http://dell.to/13KI4Pe
Do let me know the results.

Hello Kalyan,
Thanks so much for your quick reply which has fixed the problem here. I am composing this reply on the Dell Latitude :emotion-2:
The first download hit the money, ie Ethernet controller - http://dell.to/10L7B1T . The second package, under Security Device was for a 64 bit system so I did not proceed with it. (Just for info the Latitude here is Win7 Pro 32 bit while my PC is Win7 Home 64 bit). Yet I do wonder why I could not find this file while having around 120 downloads available under my service number for this laptop. I even searched "ethernet, etc..." and did not find this one. Well, that is not meant to be a complaint in any sense or form, as this great laptop is now able to get out into the world and I'm so thankful for your efforts.
Cheers, and best regards,
Peter
