XPS 9570, motherboard replacement?
A component inside my cell XPS 9570 broke, first the gtx 1050ti stopped working and soon after, the laptop does not boot. I need to replace it. I live in Portugal so availability is not very good, Dell after warranty support is out of question, just shipping it to Germany for “analysis” is very expensive. I could find a motherboard replacement but it uses a different heat sink assembly (4 screws instead of 5) mine is 5. I can get another heat sink for 4 screws, but is that the only change in the motherboards? Will both (motherboard on new heatsink) fit in the same chassis , so if I buy the different motherboard and heatsink all is well? Can anyone confirm this?

It is unclear. Parts-People sells two Bottom Base Metal Cover Assemblies for your laptop. I looked through those listings and in the Service Manual, but I cannot tell what the difference is. You may need to ask Parts-People. They usually respond to email within a day or so.

For anyone with the same question it works with the other motherboard if we change the cooler, the shop confirmed

I know I should match heat sinks. My question is if both motherboards with the correspondent heat sinks fit in the same chassis. Because the only motherboard replacement I find at my country is for 4 screw heat sink and mine is 5, I am willing to buy both if they fit.

It is recommended that you match the heat sink to the motherboard. Using a heat sink that is not designed for your motherboard could result in inadequate Cooling.
Parts-People is a reliable vendor of genuine Dell parts, and they also do laptop repairs. They sell all three types of heat sink that were used in the 9570, and they ship to Portugal. They are out of stock at the moment, but you could email them to ask about availability.
Whenever touching components or working inside a computer, wear a grounded wrist strap, also called anti-static wrist strap, ESD wrist strap, or ground bracelet. It's a cheap and sensible precaution. Rest the laptop on an anti-static mat or at least a reasonable alternative such as corrugated cardboard. (Repeatedly touching a metal case part is not sufficient mitigation with modern components.)

I sent them an email, thank you for your help, I find it unclear to and it’s taking forever to find out. I suppose one bottom base could be for the model with a hard drive because the battery is smaller and doesn’t have the metal case that holds the drive, but I could be wrong.
