XPS 15 L501X, not connecting to Wifi

I have a 2010 Dell L501x XPS running on Windows 7 at the moment. The laptop is unable to connect to Wi-fi and no issues were found on the internet diagnostics prompt which usually shows up at a failed connection. This problem was first encountered in the year 2022 and since it's an old laptop, we've moved on. The laptop wasn't used since until recently, I want to get to the bottom of this issue. I would be glad if someone could guide me through the solution.

@ejn63 , Thank you for your response. The issue was finally fixed after re-installing & updating the network drivers. Initially booted in safe mode + networking and somehow started working again.

The following images are the results of troubleshooting of the driver and failure to connect to the internet. The drivers were re-installed to the latest version yet, It still does not want to connect to the internet.

What type of security is on the router in question?  It's very likely that a system this old won't negotiate with a wireless router that's even remotely up to date because of Windows 7.

You may want to try briefly turning off wireless security on the router (don't leave it that way) to see if the system will connect.
