Question

Is the SAMSUNG 990 PRO w/Heatsink SSD 4TB, PCIe Gen4 M.2 2280 Internal Solid State Hard Drive compatible with Dell XPS 15 9510 with 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz 2.30 GHz? Do I need to get the version without the heatsink and buy that separately?

I don't think there's enough space for the heatsink to fit...

You need an SSD without the heatsink -- the model with one is designed for desktop systems and won't fit your notebook.  There's very little room inside the system for a heatsink of any capability.

@ejn63​ many thanks. A Dell contact has said that the 4TB will fit but the system will not be able to recognize over 2TB. Is that a ‘thing’?
