Thanks @JOcean -- I was able to get the update using fwupdmgr directly from a shell (rather than using a GUI)...

This page at EUKHost may help and this one at Robotecture. It is a problem with the security settings on the server. It may be temporary. Are you having trouble D/L from any other site? Out of curiosity I tried the D/L and it was fine so it may be on your ISP server as well.
