Dell XPS 9310 (Developer Edition) won't boot when a live USB is plugged in
I'm trying to install NixOS using their latest install ISO installed on a USB stick. However, when I boot my computer with the USB stick plugged in, it never gets past the dell logo. I've tried opening the BIOS settings and the boot menu, but the blue progress bar at the bottom of the screen gets stuck about halfway through. The same issue occurs with an Arch Linux live USB (that I'm pretty sure has worked before). The computer boots fine when nothing is plugged in.
I have disabled secure boot and enabled AHCI. I've never been able to add a boot order entry for usb drives (I don't know what file to point the boot entry to), but if the computer even gets to the grub menu (what normally boots up), I'm able to boot from the usb using the grub command line.
I'm currently running Arch Linux with the 6.4.3-arch1-1 kernel.
The USB sticks are SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 drives, which I've used to boot from before.

I used dd.
But I tried a different USB drive brand (something cheap from amazon), and it worked.

When I read your post I was going to suggest disabling secure boot but it looks like you have already done that. Are you flashing it using some tool like Balena Etcher or just dd?
