Dell XPS 15 9510 doesn't work on Battery since I upgraded Bios
XPS 15 9510
Hi, I have a dell XPS 9510 and it was working perfectly till I upgraded my BIOS to 1.33. Since then I got some Problems with the Laptop.
After update Laptop crashed some times while working ( on Battery ) and it didn't turn on without AC. After I connected AC the power Led was blinking in Amber and white. I thought it was a problem from BIOS, so I waited for 1.34 and installed it. However, the crashes became more frequent, and I couldn’t sometimes turn on the laptop without AC power.
Next I thought it is from OS. So I installed Windows 10 to see if the Problem is from OS, I then checked the Battery health from Bios it was excellent but Battery state was Idle and I ran then the Diagnostic tests and there was no problem. Since I installed Windows I can't even use the Laptop on Battery, to turn it on I have to connect with AC and when I disconnect the AC it goes immediately off. I also talked with dell support and they tried to downgrade the Bios but it was unsuccessful. I installed the newest BIOS for the device from Dell website (1.35) and it is still not working on Battery and it Battery doesn't charge the Battery, it just stucks at 98%. The power Led is blinking and I recorded it with Slow motion to see the colors. It blinks 4 times Amber and 1 time White repeatedly . It's just blinking and blinking ....
I attach images of my BIOS, Dell Power Manger an Power log.
I need quick help!

You can get a better picture of the condition of the battery with a Windows battery report. Open a command prompt with admin privilege and type powercfg /batteryreport What is the current charge capacity of the battery (NOT the charge state)?
If you haven't reset the system (with the power unplugged and the battery disconnected from the mainboard, hold the power button for 30 seconds, and then reassemble the system), that would be next.
However, the fact that you're seeing the battery failure flash pattern and that the system is about four years old likely means the battery has died of old age and needs to be replaced.

@ejn63 Thank you for your quick response and support.
The current charge capacity of the battery is 60,773 mWh (see attached image I'm not sure).
I haven’t reset the system by disconnecting the battery from the mainboard. I only performed a reset without disconnecting the battery by holding the reset button for 30 seconds while the AC adapter was unplugged.

The battery has lost about 30% of its original capacity -- the question is always whether that's across the cells, or in one or two. One or two cells that are dead can put the voltage output below what the system needs to run.
Unless there are other symptoms such as failure to recognize the AC adapter, the battery needs to be replaced. It's not connected to the firmware update.

@ejn63 I really don't have any other symptoms such as failure to recognize the AC adapter or anything like that.
What do you recommend ? What should I do?

Replace the battery -- you need the 6-cell unit (there is also a smaller 3-cell battery for this model).
