Dell XPS 15 7590 battery
I have a dell xps 15 7590 which I am using from 3 years. Today suddenly the battery orange light started blinking. The laptop turns on and works only when the AC power is connected.
When I ran diagnostics, I got an error 2000-0133, which probably means I should replace the battery. Can I continue using the laptop on AC power until I replace the battery? Should the old battery be removed immediately or is it fine to leave it in for a few days?

If it's technically possible for you and to be on the safe side, just remove the battery as you will also need to verify the battery Dell part number while shopping for the replacement.

You are correct, the diagnostic error code 2000-0133 indicates the battery does not provide sufficient power to operate your device. Also, the battery indictor light was amber, a warning of extremely low battery (less than 5%).
While it is okay to use the laptop with AC adapter until you can replace the battery, do not prolong the condition as in some cases, heat damage could cause swelling of battery, damaging the touchpad and palm rest.

@Chino de Oro Thank you for the reply. Is it fine if I leave the old battery inside the laptop for a few days (about a week) until I get a new battery? Or should I remove the old battery immediately?

@TejasPrasanna I would recommend to remove it asap. I left mine in, and few days after I've noticed that touchpad was harder to press. When I removed the battery one of the cells was swollen.
You can still use your laptop on AC even without a battery. Mine is just taking a much longer time to boot and I have to adjust the system clock in BIOS every time I turn it on if I unplug the cable.

" I have to adjust the system clock in BIOS every time I turn it on if I unplug the cable".
Sounds like your motherboard CMOS battery needs replacing.
