XPS 8960, Samsung NVMe PM9A1

My XPS 8960 shipped with an NVMe from Samsung. The Samsung model no. is PM9A1.

Dell is currently offering an update for the Samsung model no. PM9F1, which is not being offered for my Service Tag.

Can I correctly presume that the PM9F1 is, in fact, different from my PM9A1, so Dell really knows its stuff by not offering it for my computer?
