XPS 8960, K CPU can't be overclocked?

I actually wasn't planning to overclock the Core i7 13700K processor in my new 8960 - I don't think my PC has the thermal headroom. The reason I bought the 'K' processor was because, at the time I ordered, the only way to get Dell's 'advanced' (aka tower) air cooling was to get a 'K' processor.

Nevertheless, I was surprised to see that overclocking is disabled in the UEFI. If I was someone who paid an additional $100 for a 'K' processor only to find out later that it cannot be overclocked, I would be pretty upset, especially since this was not mentioned in the system specs, at least not when I ordered.

Why would Dell do such a thing?

Apparently not for me

Edit: I have to hit the ENTER key to enable overclocking. In the BIOS of my previous Dell PC - from more than 13 years ago - only the arrow keys worked in the BIOS.

There is overclocking features in BIOS and it's disabled by default.  You can enable it and choose a preset overclocked level.

Even though I have rarely O/C'd my systems, I do have this enabled with my 8950 and I have to say, this 8950 is super stable. I haven't really pushed this using the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility at this point as this system is already a screamer.

Are you telling us that you can't enable it?

Have you confirmed you actually have a "K" CPU installed?
