XPS 8950, upgrade CPU to i9, video card?
I use my xps8950 for my home studio production and it's working quite well. I've upgraded the ram and have it running at 64 gigs of ram currently. The programs that I'm using are constantly becoming larger and more of a load on my cpu. I wanted to know if I can upgrade my cpu to an i9... also I was curious what my options are for upgrading my graphics card. If someone could point me in the right direction for compatible hardware that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Richard

If you chose a -k cpu it is recommended you upgrade cooler to Dell premium tower cooler or liquid cooler, and also add VRM heatsink to support the -k cpu.
Gpu upgrade depends to some extent on your psu power rating. I am more familiar with Nvidia gpu options

Above gpu were Dell oem for 8950 which is 2 years old since then there are also RTX 4000 series card you can consider and also validated by 8950 users. Newer cards cost more but older RTX 3000 series cards are not very cheap either.
