XPS 8930, need to re-paste heatsink to CPU, guidance on removing heatsink and fan
My XPS 8930 has started running hot. Fans are working correctly per pre-boot diagnostics. I'd like to re-paste the heatsink to the CPU but the instructions in the service manual show a different design heatsink. Mine, part #84976613, has a Dell fan/heatsink that blocks access to mounting bolts. It looks like I must have to remove the fan from the heatsink before I can remove the heatsink from the CPU. Can anyone tell me how to do this or point me to an article that describes how to remove this "enhanced design" heatsink, so I re-paste it. Thanks!

@redxps630 Perfect! And... I do have the correct service manual. I was searching for "fan" when, apparently, I should have been searching for "blower." I can now start this task with much more confidence that I'll be able to complete it successfully.
