Better graphics card for XPS 8700?

Well I want to get a better graphics card (bc the one I have is not exactly the best) and so here I am.
The specs are:

Stock 460w psu

Intel i7-4770 at 3.40 GHz

12 gigs of ram (gonna upgrade to 24 gigs sooner or later)

Nvidia GeForce GT 635

I want to get a graphics card hopefully from nvidia but if another company has one that works much better for a similar price point I’ll get that one instead.

A video card which is better than a GT 635, is working without bottlenecking an i7-4770, and is not requiring PSU upgrade, I think you may consider upgrading to a GeForce GTX 1660.

You can find many users on benchmark site fitting theirs with RTX 2000 and 3000 series.  Those are known to work with the XPS 8700.  Select a graphics card that match with your intended use and you also need to upgrade the power supply accordingly to provide enough power.

That’s the thing, I don’t want to upgrade the psu. (Should have specified that). I need a gpu that can be used with the stock 460w psu.

is this the right one? (Amazon) if not could you send me a link to the correct one on Amazon?

It's close enough, a super.  Third party seller is questionable but it's up to your call.  1660, 1660super, and 1660ti, these are affordable entry level capable for gaming and photoshop (no ray tracing).  Any of those three would give you a noticeable improvement in graphics performance, without breaking the bank.

Edit:  Retail cards around 200 usd, OEM cards 150 usd, the rest of shopping is on you.

Yes, it's blower style card which exhaust heated air to outside the system case.  But the linked one is an HP's OEM.  Try to get a Dell's OEM card as it has been tweaked for low power consumption without sacrificing performance.  A ti card can outperform 20 times over the GT 635.  You want to look for a new or open box card from a seller with good reputation and is having plenty units available for sale.  That way, you will least likely running into issue or receiving questionable quality card.  Here is a quick search on auction site yielding such card within the criteria.  Dell part 00C77 is OEM card for XPS 8940.
