XPS 13 9365 2-in-1, won't get Windows 11?
The 2016 released XPS 13 9365 2-in-1 is not on Dell's list of tested XPS Laptops for upgrade to Windows 11.
It's processor (i7 7Y75) is not on Microsoft's list of supported ones. It's unbelievable that a high end laptop like this won't be updated! I'm really disappointed. Does anybody have some information about it being updated, or can I just give it up?

This web page shows CPUs that will not be supported and the i7-7Y75 is unfortunately on that list. Now could you install Windows 11 on an unsupported system, yes and YouTube is full of videos explaining how. BUT you will be unsupported and will not receive updates. How many updates and which type has not been spelled out specifically by MS. But I am guessing you will only see security updates. And down the road MS could decide to pull the plug on your install completely. This video has more information.

I have the Dell 9365, but with the faster i7-8500Y processor. My Windows update states:
GREAT NEWS, your computer meets the minimum system requirements for Windows 11.
I have also updated my internal hard drive to the Samsung EVO fast 1 TB drive - if that matters.

My XPS 13 9365 with the same 7th gen processor runs Windows 11 (Version 21H2) fine without issues despite not being supported... The moderately high end 7th gen processors technologies are higher than most the lower grade 8th gen processors that are supported, making the system requirements somewhat arbitrary.
I think you will have to clean install Windows 11 using a Bootable USB and may be prevented from performing an inplace upgrade from Windows 10 on an "unsupported" model. Dell Command Update installs all the necessary Dell drivers.
I suspect that Microsoft's warnings about not receiving future updates will refer to later builds of Windows 11 which may elevate the system requirements more but is left deliberately ambiguous at this moment in time.

Thanks for your recommendation. I'm not an expert in computer, and I think i'll not take risks. So i will wait for Dell and Microsoft to solved that problems. My devices purchased in 2018 and i think it's not too old. I don't know why they can't upgrade.
Anyways, thank you so much

I agree 100% math0414, not even an explanation from Dell or Micrsoft or Intel... I paid a lot of money for this high-end laptop and have been so disappointed with it... Btw, I bought Dell ProSupport Plus and nobody disclosed that the battery is not covered unless you buy coverage for it... Of course the battery died right after its warranty expired... Now this... No Windows 11 and with no explanation....

I agree: I had to change twice my battery (first one during warranty time) and once, my laptop while I was working turn black, because the motherboard "burn" (after 2 years). And the costumer service a disaster. Very disappointed, to.
