The first step would seem to be to go to the support page for your system and download the chipset drivers. They can be found here. The 3rd driver looks like it is for Waves MaxAudio and that can be found on the same page.

@speedstep

Please help me make sense of this.

Okay, so I have a Dell XPS 8900

Replaced the SSD hard drive with a new and bigger SSD.

Reimaged the new drive with Windows 10 pro.

Completed all of the window 10 updates (22H2) and proceeded to the Dell support page for my model. I installed Dell auto detect and low and behold my device popped up. Clicked on my device and the support page opened up as supposed to. At this time, I do an auto detect for any missing drivers. And of course, about 7 of them popped up with about five of them being critical. Of course, I do a mass download and install. After all the drivers were installed, I was required to restart. I comply. After all has been restarted, I check device manager. There, I have SM Bus controller showing a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. Now through experience I know this well to be a chipset issue. So, I go back to the Dell support page and pay way more attention to what drivers I had downloaded and install. One of the critical updates that was needed was "Intel Management Engine Components Installer". But I was looking for a driver that said chipset. After a little reading it turns out that the "Intel Management Engine Components Installer" is the chipset driver. So, after multiple uninstalls and installs of the driver and still having an issue with the SM Bus I started to do some research. Came across your reply here in this post and I followed the thunderbolt link. the last one on the list. As you know (cause it's your link) that link took me to the Dell G3 3579 support page. Because I was desperate, I check the drivers and sort by chipset. Came up number one on the list as a critical, Intel Serial IO Driver! Because I was desperate, I downloaded and installed it. Ba-da Bing! Ba-do Boom!

After the restart.... SM Bus controller issue went away.

I looked through every category in device manager and I can't even find anything that says SM Bus now.

Make that make sense!!!

Merry Christmas...
