Simple Q Connecting Ext Monitor to Inspiron 13 5000

I'm a new 13 5000 owner and would like to set up my personal 2-in-1 like my work Dell laptop where I connect to external monitor, keyboard and mouse and leave the laptop closed. I have them all connected on my 13 5000 but it always goes to sleep when the top is closed. Can't find a setting for this. Suggestions?
