Safe mode Windows 10

1.) How do I know if I am in safe mode.

I had to use command prompt to boot into safe mode, yet I cant tell if Im in safe mode. Im having to do that because I turned my computer off as it was in the process of restoring to an earlier point. I seem to have caused a problem because now, it wont or cant display the desktop. Once it gets to that point, it repeated flickers the black screen without being able to show the desktop, the icons on the desktop, and the wallpaper. When this happens, I will twice get a error message saying about Dropbox: The application requires one of the following versions of the .NETFramework: Do you want to install this .Net Framework version now?” 2.) Could that be an indication as to why my PC can not pull up the desktop and apps?

3.)And I am also attempting to do another System Restore through my command prompt (I can still use it even though I cant connect to the desktop), however, it has been in the System Restore initializing prompt for 45 minutes now. Does that mean that it is actually attempting to restore or is that saying that the Restore process hasnt yet started and its still in the beginner stage.

It says, “ Please wait while your Windows files and settings are being restored.  System Restore is initializing....

So, I have 3 questions.

7/26 I fixed the problem. Thanks for trying to help. (I’m having to place the solution this way because Dell is marking my solution as spam after I was hacked and my answer erased and replaced with the wrong answer. HERE IS THE CORRECT ANSWER.:

Hello. Thank you so much for the information. But, because I am computer savvy, I was able to fix the problem myself. It required that I utilize  the task manager in order to access the command prompt to complete the tasks.

1.) I entered safe mode through the command prompt and also then restored the computer (through the command prompt) to the point or time BEFORE I turned the computer off during my initial restore attempt (I INITIALLY was going to restore my computer  to an earlier point after I could not FIGURE OUT WHY MY KEYBOARD AND MOUSE HAD STOP WORKING which is when I decided to restore the computer the first time. HOWEVER, I turned it off in the mid of the restore computer attempt when it took too long.) And that is when my issue became worse and the computer would appear to boot up normally until it would get to the desktop screen and  the screen would go black and began to flicker as described in my question. Which is why I had to utilize task manager and enter my command prompt mode to perform the tasks and to complete a new restore computer request.

2.) Once the FINAL restore computer attempt was complete (and it took about 3-4 hours to complete) my computer was back to being the great touchscreen computer that it is and was when I purchased it. I then went back into the command prompt mode to reset the computer to continue booting normally and to no longer boot into safe mode.

The following should help and when you are in recovery mode, it can take a while to complete so do not be impatient. Also when you are in safe mode the words safe mode appear on the screen in the corners. If the system does not restore properly it could be that Windows is now corrupt and a clean install may be a better direction to take.

in w10 learn to boot 3 times to force the auto repair mode,  this works 99% of the time.

do that first. (skipping this simple step invites huge damage other ways)

well MS answer this like 1 zillion times a day. all modes of recovery , even deleting the hiberfil.sys file. to force this fast startup , disabled.

there is safe boot now, not mode.   in  run MSconfig and set boot tab as you want. hard lacking a desktop no?

the 3 times boot trick normal hard power on the PC 3 times fixes most dead OS, w10 issues,.

now how to reset fast startup.,

if in secure  boot mode not legacy, some methods are locked out . for sure deleted hiberfil.sys file trick.

On legacy MBR disk i can even delete that using linux demo boot stick or dvd.

this forces w10 on next boot to load manually and the build back the hiberfil fast boot image for later use.

Bad ram can cause hiberfil to go corrupt,  so this is worse case.

and recover MS way.

no lack of information on this topic at MS.

What Is Recovery Mode Windows 10 & How It Works?

Recovery mode is an advanced feature that gives you advanced repair and recovery tools. With the help of it, you can recover your corrupted windows and if some software is not working well in your system then it will analyze, repair, or remove them after recovery. Not only recovery tools but you will get some repair tools in it too that you can use to repair your windows if you are getting trouble in booting your windows like as if it slow to boot or just crash while booting then it is going to be very helpful for you.

The working of recovery mode is so simple. For example, if you have recently downloaded software that is troubling your system, And if you perform recovery mode then it will delete that software as it was before. Not only that but it may remove all recently added software and games but it will give you the option to choose which one you want to remove and which one you want to keep.

Now when you know all about recovery mode. Now it is time to know about How To Boot Into Recovery Mode Windows 10. So let’s not waste any more time and let’s get started.

How To Boot Into Recovery Mode Windows 10?

So now you must be aware of recovery mode and the features of recovery mode. So now I will tell you some methods that you can follow to boot into recovery mode in windows 10.

If any method you find tough or difficult then just try another all of them are working and there is more than one method. I have placed everything step by step with pictures. So you will not feel any kind of trouble using any of these steps. So let’s not waste any more time and let’s get started with the method no.1

Method No.1- Keep Pressing F11 While Window Is Booting.

This is the first and easiest method. In this method, all you have to do is keep on pressing the F11 button while your window is being booted. When you start seeing the first texts on your display just start pressing F11.

But keep in mind the F11 button does not work on every system because if you have a different brand’s CPU then maybe Delete or maybe F2 button or F8 button can also work. It depends on the brand of your system. So find your button first then try this method.

Method No.2- Get Into Recovery Mode With Start Menu’s Restart Option.

If your computer is not corrupted enough and it starts properly then you can use this method. Follow the steps below.

1). The start menu’s restart option also provides you one of the easiest ways to enter Recovery Mode.

2). Click On Power Button. As shown in the image.

3). Hold the shift key, And click on the restart while keep on pressing the Shift key.

4). After that, Click on the troubleshoot and advance option, you will see in the blue section.

Method No.3- Enter Recovery Mode Using cmd (Command Prompt).

This is also for, if your system is working and the window gets boot successfully then you can try this also. If you do not want to restart your computer for that.

1). This is also another shortcut just press Win + X key and select Command prompt in the menu.

2). And type this command in the command prompt. ‘shutdown /r /o’. And press the enter button.

3). When the line “You are about to be signed out” Appears just click close.

4). Then also select Troubleshoot and Advance option.
