Well I had the same issue from 2 days on my Inspiron 3511 but I have figured out the solution what you have to do is

1. Open Control Panel And uninstall dell Fusion/ Fusion Service

2. Visit dell support page and enter you system model or Scan With Dell support assist and download the latest version of Dell Fusion service once you have successfully installed the fusion My Dell Application problem should be solved

or install from this link https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=m93kw&oscode=wt64a&productco...

Please reply if this method worked

YOU DO NOT have to uninstall Dell Fusion Service, just manually update it....

I CONFIRM that My Dell isn't smart enough to self-update the Dell Fusion Service.

I manually downloaded and installed this update file, it's also now in my Service Tag for Manual Downloads as well.

NOTE: Link above for Inspirion laptop is same Fusion service filename as my XPS...  Filename is:

Fusion-Service_M93KW_WIN_2.0.58.0_A00.EXE

Specifically, I have a Dell XPS 9710 and it instantly fixed My Dell app.

I have a similar problem.  The My Dell app stated I had to install the update to continue using the app.  So I clicked on update and it looked like it was going to install.  Got the standard computer message asking if it was okay for the app to change my system and I clicked yes on that.  The 'wheel turned" for a few minutes and then I was right back to the initial screen, requesting the update.  This happened again and again, and the update would never install.  I tried 'repair' and then I uninstalled My Dell app completely, went to the Microsoft Store, downloaded again.  Started all over -- and the same thing happened.  Can't use the My Dell app without the update and it won't update.

Got a message from a "virtual" csr -- and nothing came of that.

I just finally uninstalled it and figure I'll do what it does -- clean out temp files, install needed drivers (not the UNNECESSARY ones it always suggests I install -- some of which can really wreck your system if you're not careful), and do all that sort of maintenance via Windows 11 system apps.  May take a little more time but it'll likely be a lot safer and a lot less aggravating.

The My Dell apps and, in fact, most of the Dell service apps, are quirky.  This is not the first time I've had trouble with these apps.  It is the last time, though.

I'm having the same problem since yesterday.

I uninstalled Fusion Service and My Dell - reinstalled from Microsoft store as suggested in other posts, though the latest Fusion version for manual installation from Dell cannot be reinstalled. Log says "...Return code 1638" - "NO_DOWNGRADE". So their latest Fusion Service from Apr 15th is not the latest?! I lost already a lot of time with such buggy software and hope support can fix their issues. I use the My Dell app to change power behavior instead of going to the BIOS all the time.
