Changed only user account to owner
So, I think I just broke my new XPS 8950. I was going through installing things and I got a message that I needed to be an admin to do what ever it was that I was trying to do. I searched the internet and found a page saying to type in NETPLWIZ or something like that and I will be able to make changes. That is when I saw a setting that said "owner". I thought "hey, I'm the owner. That should be me". So I changed it......my only user account. Turns out it was a terrible mistake, I can't change it back. I cannot run anything that requires admin privileges, cannot uninstall anything that requires admin privileges, I cant even get into windows restore, safe mode or do anything to use the default admin privileges. I cant run powershell or command prompt as admin either. I have scoured the internet and have found a few other people that seem to be as bright as me and did the same thing, but nobody seems to have a solution. If there is anybody that has any idea how to fix this, please let me know....with detailed instructions...think of it like trying to teach a cave man rocket science....Anyways thank you to anyone that can help or tries to help.

I really appreciate the reply. I was freaking out. Unfortunately, I could not run anything as the administrator and I had effectively deleted the only administrator account on the computer. I couldn't do much of anything. I couldn't install anything and I couldn't even open the netplwiz command. Luckily for me my brother (who used to be the IT guy at one of the local school districts in my area came out to my parents for Christmas Eve. I took my PC with me and had him look at it. I wish I could say that I had even the slightest idea what he did, but what ever it was he got it running for me. Only 2 issues left to tackle with my new PC....it wont go to sleep and it wont see my sound card but I think I'll get those things figured out. Other than those issues it is an incredible machine. I really do appreciate these boards and the people like yourself that take the time to help people like me. I hope you are having a good holiday season.

Windows 11 change account type:
Use the netplwiz command
Press Windows Key + R and enter netplwiz. Press Enter.
Double-click the account that you want to change.
Navigate to the Group Membership tab. Now select Administrator and click on Apply and OK.

I have fixed my problem by deactivating your inbuilt Administrator account.
