vWorkspace 8.0 - error when adding vsphere

Hello,

I’m looking for the required prerequisites for configuring Quest vWorkspace 8.0 with VMware vSphere 5.1.

When I try to add his vcenter, the following error occurs (see attachment).

Have you got any hints regarding vworkspace/vsphere integration?

FIY, I don't think that the problem comes from the firewall because I can reach the server through a web browser when typing https://servername/sdk (no web page but server's certificate is displayed). Test done from the vworkspace server (management server).

Best,

Lionel

Hi Lionel,

The error text in the screenshot actually states 'no connection brokers could be contacted' not that the broker can't connect to vCenter. Can you check that a connection broker is configured in the management console and the Connection Broker service is running. The CB service is called pnbrksvc.exe and by default listens on port 8080.

What do you see if you browse to http://ConnectionBrokerServer:8080 then you should see a page showing the service status, if this fails try restarting the CB service before checking again. If it is still an issue check for conflicts that might also be trying to use port 8080

Regards,

David
