Yep, were working hard on lots of new exciting Connector releases for Linux, Mac and iPad.

We only launched Android last week - you want a new one already

Thanks Prit.

Ah, your refering to the desktop toolbar. Can you explain what you mean by hit and miss? It doesnt pop up and down all the time? or the actual buttons from the menu dont work?

Its fiddly on smaller devices due to the touch hot spot being smaller, but it seems usable on tablets. Maybe we need to increase the hotspot size. Let me know the answers to the above and I'll look into it.

Thanks

Hi Prit,

I've seen this under low bandwidth/when connected via 3G but the issue does go away when im connected on wi-fi. If you need assistance I'd recommend raising a support case.

Which drop down menu are you refering too? We dont have a drop down menu to select between different sessions, do you mean the menu to select which farm/location to connect using?

Thanks

Mmm...im connected via wi-fi , or will do ( i'll also check with different device too )

The drop down menu you get when your VDI session is running ( top of the screen - with the little arrow )

We may be adding some functionality to the mouse in the future, but I cant comment on when that is or what it will look like just yet.

Please raise a support case if you continue to encounter the audio issues you mentioned - its important that we try to localize the issue and if its a problem, get it logged so that we can fix it in a future release.

Thanks

Yep ..that it - desktop toolbar ( icon of the sqare boxes )

as you say it a bit "fiddly" when you want to switch back to the menu to select another VDI session

rest of the items responsed fine on the 10" device

Yes if you can increase the "hotspot size" ...would be great

ps..any news on new mouse ;-)

cheers

Hi Prit,

Just out of interest, what audio are you playing here? Are we talking about simple windows sounds or something longer?

Thanks

No -  not simple WIndows Sounds ( ie Login / logout etc )

but audio from default MS Media Player and from WebPages too..

it works - but the audio keeps skipping / goes out of sync effect

hope this help

Thanks Prit, that helps alot.

The problem you are getting is because you are using Media Player and we dont support Media Player redirection today on Android (like we do in Windows and Linux Connectors).  In other words, we would need specific Media Player redirection for this to work smoothly.

Its something we will look to include in a future release, I just cant say when right now.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

I think it a combinations of things....

the connector / network / application - been doing a bit more testing and im finding Media Player

is performing better/reliable with Sound than Webpages ( flash content with audio )

but both application still suffer from the sound breaking up - more so with Web content

goto : http://www.york.ac.uk/videos/international/ and run the video on a android device

playing this direct on the android device ( not via vworkspace ) is fine

playing with vworkspace on ipad2 ( it's flash ) is fine

Hi Prit,

When you are using RDP Audio it is being transfered from server to client as PCM which consumes *alot* of bandwidth - without flash or media player redirection, this is what you are using.

Ahh - ok, so hopefully this will improve with flash redirection  in the future versions ??

So it's not a issue with the Android device specification...as such

thanks for the update
