Microphone isn't working
Hey,
I've been using a Dell Vostro for almost a year and having a great time, but about a month ago my microphone stopped working.
I'm pretty sure nothing happened to it water/damage-wise and I've been reading in forums and watching videos regarding microphone problems in Vostro but nothing seems to help me fix it.
The microphone isn't working and even when I plug in a perfectly fine set of earbuds (checked them on different devices and they work just fine), it just doesn't work and can't even detect the earbuds nor the internal microphone at all.
Would appreciate any help!

With the help of DELL-Cares I managed to solve it.
I had an issue with the current driver version.
The solution was to uninstall the current audio drivers, restart the computer and then install the previous version (Version 6.0.8984.1, A02).

Check the Sound Settings for possible causes. Right click on speaker icon on taskbar to get to Sound Settings

You check the sound settings ? The microphone is working now? Please give us an update?

Went into the Sound settings and it says in input "No input devices found" and I don't have any options, it's like the built-in microphone in my laptop has somehow disappeared.
Searched online how to set it up again but couldn't make it work.

My microphone on my Dell Inspirion stopped working so I decided to get a new driver for my Real Audio. It's currently uninstalling the previous version - now I don't have speakers either. It may or may not install new drivers for the audio. I'm at a loss.
