Does Dell Vostro 5410 14" have a finger print reader?
Hello, on the product page for the Dell Vostro 5410 laptop the only mention of a fingerprint reader I can find is way at the bottom (that I had to use CTRL + F to find). It is not listed anywhere in the product specs. I then found online that the fingerprint reader is optional but I never found where or if the option is even available. Just wondering if this laptop has a finger print reader standard.

It isn't -- if it were, it'd be listed under the Keyboard properties in the specifications section.

The manual states that the fingerprint sensor is optoinal.

At least some sellers do have models equipped with them.

I just received a quote for a new Vostro 5410 from Dell Sales, and it included the fingerprint reader. They didn't indicate it's incremental cost, but it seems the option is available. Hope this helps!

I called Dell asking if they would sell the part separately but they didn't have it in stock. I did get the part number, t92dy.
