Dell vostro with black screen and making 8 beeps

Hie

My dell vostro core i3 is making 8 beeps with a black screen.  I tried pressing the power key and D at the same time but the screen became white of a few seconds and went back to being black. I also cleaned the RAM  and replaced it with a new one but the was no change. 

What could be the problem and possible solution
