Dell Vostro 7580. Problem with updating of Support Assist an BIOS
Hi
There is a problem with installing the update of Support Assist and BIOS. "Depenting on the speed of your PC this update can take several minutes". In fact try many times but the result is a days without any progress. Then try again and again. All is the same. For the BIOS, when try to update it , there appears a message "Could not find a valid policy or resource payload"...

Never use Support Assist to update the bios. That must be done manually by downloading it yourself from the Dell Download site for your model. If the download page doesn't have a new bios listed, you don't need a bios update. Support Assist is sometimes wrong about bios updates.
Run msinfo32.exe to see what bios you have now.

Hi, again and thank you for your answer. I don't care about the BIOS update, just mentioned it, because from that moment i cannot use my Dell support assist. There is a problem, which don't allow me to install and use it again (i uninstalled it, then try again to install - no rezult - infinite loading of PC..)...
