VNX8000 - Replacing 10Gb Copper with 10Gb Optical, procedure?

We have a customer with a VNX8000 that came configured with 2x 10Gb Copper I/0 Modules, they wish to replace these with 10Gb Optical. Is there a specific procedure for accomplishing this or can we treat it like a FRU replacement? I realise that Solve Desktop for VNX has a procedure for doing this in a DME but we can find no equivalent procedure for a SPE. Thanks in advance. Steven.

The I/O module "upgrade" path you are attempting is supported:

  • 2-port 10GbE BaseT [Eruption] (P/N: 303-164-104D-01) to 2-port 10GbEv3 [El Nino] (P/N: 303-195-100C-01)

The SP I/O module upgrade procedure document is in Solve, and its titled "Upgrading to a faster I/O module in a Storage Processor".
