VNX5400 LUN user capacity and consumed capacity different
Hello Admins,
This issue is from a VNX5400 which shows a thin lun user capacity and consumed capacity different.
The VNX specs are:
Block version: 05.33.000.5.081
File Version: 8.1.3-79
Why do we have this much difference in total capacity and consumed capacity. This way we will run out of pool space quickly for larger LUNs.
Please advise.

According to that screenshot, that VPOOL1 pool is full already, 0 GB available.. check & fix that, it can cause many issues. And if you are using compression for LUNs, it may fail due the lack of free space on the pool.

There is a per LUN metadata allocation. It doesn't apply linearly to the LUN size.
