VNX: Soft Media Error[Badblock] from SP event logs
Hello,
when doing disk firmware upgrade from USM I get this rule check error:
Rule Description: This rule scans the SP event logs looking for events indicating potential problems with the storage system.
Result of Rule Check: Events requiring attention were found on SPA:
0x820 [36 times] 11/24/2024 22:33:37 Warning Bus 1 Enclosure 0 Disk 2:Soft Media Error[Badblock]
0x820 [49 times] 11/24/2024 10:42:48 Warning Bus 1 Enclosure 0 Disk 2:Soft Media Error[Badblock]
Events requiring attention were found on SPB:
0x820 [19 times] 11/24/2024 16:45:21 Warning Bus 1 Enclosure 0 Disk 2:Soft Media Error[Badblock]
Rule Instructions: To ensure a successful installation, verify these issues have been resolved. Please refer to documentation for additional information or contact your service provider for further assistance.
The disk Bus1-Enc0-Disk2 has been just replaced (after Nov24th) but the error is still reported by SP event logs.
How can I clear/regenerate such event logs on both SPA/SPB ?
Thx!
A.

Hello Josh,
it seems the kb apply to only:
VNXe1 Series, VNXe3100, VNXe3150, VNXe3300
but not VNX5300
Thx!
