SNMP alerts from VNX for file
I'd like to configure up/down alerting via SNMP from a VNX. I've figured out the Notifications for Block, more or less, but the Notifications for File section seems to have fewer options and I can't find one that looks like it will send an alert if file systems become unavailable to hosts for whatever reason. (I'm a block guy and not a file guy, so maybe there are several good options sitting there staring at me but I'm not aware.) Does anyone know how to configure up/down alerting through SNMP on the file side?
No Events found!

Nevermind. I opened a support case and was given this document:

Apparently, notifications for file can only be configured through CLI on the Control Station. (Also, SNMP for file can't send traps; it can only be polled.) This document from Support answers my questions.

actually VNX file events can send easily send SNMP traps - see the VNX file Events manual for more details
the manual you are quoted is for polling stats from the file snmpd on the data mover
file events go through a general mechanism on the control station and are configured via nas_event
