Over Temperature Event Alerting for VNX5600
Hi
Is there a way to alert on over-temperature events for a VNX5600?
I think our shelves are DAE2P units..
I dont have any access to the machine or admin consoles, but i just want to know if it is possible.
I've read the docu47567_VNX-Command-Line-Interface-Reference-for-File-8.1.pdf (although im pretty sure our system is block-based) and can see that i can get the info manually from the command
nas_environment -info -intemp...
but wondering if i can setup automatic alerting of the over-temperature condition?
No Events found!

Yes. There are numerous temperature/environment related events present in the "Basic Array Events" category of the Call-Home Templates.

In Unisphere, click on System, then Monitoring and Alerts, then Notifications - then on the page click on the Help button in the upper right corner. One of the help topics is "How do I configure a Notification" - click that to get to help for Block or File.

Actually you can download the online help from support.emc.com and view it without having access to a VNX
