There are three different power down procedures depending on your array configuration

https://support.emc.com/docu32065_VNX5300_Block_Power_Off_Procedure.pdf?language=en_US

https://support.emc.com/docu32066_VNX5300_File_Power_Off_Procedure.pdf?language=en_US

https://support.emc.com/docu32067_VNX5300_Unified_Power_Off_Procedure.pdf?language=en_US

You can find the power off procedures by going to the EMC support page and do a search for "How do I power off VNX xxxx"

First, you need to get the Unisphere Service Manager (USM) and install on a Windows PC that has access to the array - probably the one that you use to manage the array. This program will allow you to log into the array using your admin account. Once logged in, you then go to the Download section and follow the software VNX Software Updates. Make sure you get the latest version.

Use the support.emc.com to get to the Support by Product page, from there search for the VNX1 Series. The downloads are located under each model - so select the 5300 and then Downloads. There's lots of good information available

On this page look in the upper right - you'll see "Recommended Resources". The "Customimized Procedures and Documentation" is a good place to find How To information. Click on this link and on the next page, click on VNX. On that page you'll find "VNX Task" - here you'll find the power down information and how to upgrade your software

https://download.emc.com/downloads/DL48745_Unisphere-Service-Manager-(USM)-1.3.9.1.0217-for-Windows---English.exe?source=OLS

Using the tools on support.emc.com is always the first place to look for information about your array.
