Control Station Not Detecting Datamovers
Hello Community,
I have been working on a VNX5700, the control station is the only thing showing up with the /nas/sbin/getreason command. I had to manually mount /nas/ just to be able to use the command, so I am assuming the NBS service is not starting. I can ping both SP's addresses internally and externally. I have tried power cycling with the correct sequence numerous times and have not seen any differences. Everything was working until I ran a command to reboot SPA and SPB. They remained in "reset" state, now they are not appearing at all. Any info would be a big help.

Did away with the control station altogether. Downgraded to block! Connected serial to Storage Processor let it reboot 4 times and entered the engineering menu with the password messner option 12 and BOOM, good bye.

If you have a maintenance contract I would suggest to open a service request or use the customer service live chat on support.emc.com

Unfortunately this equipment was acquired via ITAD, so we do not have a maintenance contract.

After leaving the data movers on all night, I powered on the control station. Manually mounted /nas/ again. Ran getreason and the data movers are appearing again. Getreason is stating that both Datamovers are in "reset" state. How do I go about getting them back up? I ran a command along the lines of init -s 2 and got errors.
