Configure IP address for VNXe after reset to Factory defaults

Hello,

We are resetting one of VNXe to factory defaults and use as a new VNXe. Could some one share the process for setting IP address after reset.

Hello,

Please find below the installation guide for VNXe3150. The initial IP configuration is same for 3100,3150 and 3300.

Page 23 talks about setting a static IP for VNXe management.

Additionally, you would need to install the Connection Utility. It can be downloaded at:

https://download.emc.com/downloads/DL31479_VNXe-Connection-Utility-(Windows-32-bit).exe

The connection utility (Windows 32bit) did not install -- I am running Windows 7 Enterprise and for EMC VNX management and related tools (Nexus console, etc) -- even though I tried after installing Java 7u45 and Java 7u51.  

As Windows 7, I have both jre8u131/jdk8u131 installed (both 32-bit and 64-bit of each).

So I tried installing software -- no luck -- dialog warning after confirming "English" language is:

[JAVA Required to proceed ]

(X)  ConnectionUtility requires the 32 bit JJAVA Platform, Standard Edition 1.7 Update 17 or higher.  Click OK to exit

        this installation and install JAVA.  We recommend installing the latest 32 bit version at http://www.java.com

I went through motions and re-installed Java but no luck.

Solved Connection Utility issue.

As stated, I downloaded the software from the link in the Correct Answer (at 5:38pm) yesterday.

I'm running jdk-8u131 and the software failed with the above mentioned email.  I then tried 7u45, 7u51 and received same error message.

I solved it by deciding to search by product:

    https://support.emc/com/products/26044_VNXe3150

and followed the VNXe Connection Utility link under Recommended Resources to download version (at 6:52pm)

The installation worked without issue.  Can't explain why similar file worked differently -- but glad all the same.
