Using VM host name instead of inventory name
Our organization has standardized host names throughout the enterprise, however the names used in the VMware inventory aren't standardized and sometimes have duplicate names. Is there a way to force Foglight to use the host name of the system versus the inventory name? For example, when I go to the Virtual Environment dashboard and look at VM's I'd like to see the host name, not the name provided by the inventory. Is there any way to do this?
We are using Foglight for Virtualization 6.8. Thanks!

Unfortunately, there is not an easy way to do that, as we use the VM display name very heavily and it is hard coded. You can still search for a machine by FQDN/NETBIOS name and go to the VM that way.
