Storage Rightsizing Error
Hi There,
I have been trying to test the automated disk resizer in my environment - in this instance decreasing the disk allocation according to the recommendations.
Foglight attempts to do this - shuts down candidtate VM from Virtual Center, reconfigure VM, boots up.
In VC it generates an error:
'Invalid configuration for device '0' '
In Foglight web GUI the following is displayed:
'Failed: Unhandled null-pointer exception'
Can anyone shed some light please?
OS is Server 2008 R2 X64 and VMware Tools are up do date (hosted on ESXi 4.1.0)
Thanks!

Through contact with support I found that this feature did not work with ESXi 4.1.0

In that case, I would recommend opening a ticket with Support. They'll be able to analyze the debug information from the product to investigate further.

Thanks for your reply Brad.
No, it is not a dynamic disk.
Please see disk layouts below.
Could this be related to the system reserved 'partition' on Disk 0?
I have tried C & D rightsizing separately and get the same issue.
SCSI in VC set to 0:0 for Disk 1, 0:1 for Disk 2

Is the partition you're trying to rightsize a Windows Dynamic Disk?
