Problem when installation SMI agent
Hi there,
I am stuck when installing SMI agent for ViPR Fabric Manager. The CMCNE version is 12.12 and installed as SMI agent only. I DO select "Start SMI Agent" during installation phase. However when I run SMI Agent Configuration Tool it told me the SMI Agent is disabled and needs to be enabled from configuration wizard, this made me very confused. While after a while I found I can enter the SMIA configuration tool thru CMCNE Server Management Console but I cannot click any links in home tab page, is it because I have no CMCNE license or something I missed? I just want to login to SMI agent to configure the Host and Storage. Any comments are very appreciated.

Please open a support ticket with the group that supports CMCNE so they can look into the issue.

Hi,
Have you the correct version of java installed on the server for CMCNE to work?
Java Plug-ins
◆ Oracle JRE 1.7.0 update 25 for CMCNE
◆ Oracle JRE 1.7.0 update 25 for Web Tools
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html

Hi Conor,
I cannot configure SMI-S agent, even looks it is installed successfully. Once I tried to configure it prompts "You cannot configure SMI Agent as it was disabled during the installation. It can be enabled through configuration wizard".

Check your Browsers Proxy settings and Add exclusions in for the localhost.
