Unable to obtain UnityVSA license - Community Version

Hi,

I have seen this issue already happened in the past.

When I try to download the license for UnityVSA 5.1 Community Edition, from https://www.delltechnologies.com/en-us/auth/elmeval.htm, I get Not Connected .Verify Network.

I am connected, I have network. I tried from 2 different computers.

Can you please review and fix it asap? It is very urgent.

Otherwise I have no other option but to build a CentOS VM to provide the NFS and iSCSI target services.

Are there any plans to resolve this? I'd love to be able to use it for dev/test lab use and vSphere storage training for my business unit.

@DELL-Sam L, I am still waiting for any update on this matter. If Dell Technologies has decided to stop the offering of UnityVSA Community License, the company should say so. It is unacceptable that, after more than on month of this discussion being opened, still the only answer is "we are working on it". Can you give me a definite answer, please? Will this be working again in the near future, or shall I look for a solution elsewhere?

Hi,

We do not have an update on it being resolved, but it isn’t discontinued. If you use incognito mode sometimes it allows the license to be generated. If you are in the US or Canada phone support should be able to get the license team to generate a license.

 

 

  • Contact the Dell EMC Support Line by calling 800-782-4362, option 4, option 4, (at any time) and they will assist you and/or create an SR on your behalf.

          Information needed in the Service Request:

  • Software Part Numbers – 456-110-674    UnityVSA CE 4TB=IC
  • Quantity/Capacity – Qty 1

           Machine information: UUID

           Site Info

           If this is a Dark Site, please inform Licensing of this

           Reason for trial license = UVSA CE Trial License Website is down
