Venue Pro 11 5130 Power Settings Update, 1.0 A01
Brian or someone from Dell, can you please tell me if the executable in today's (01/24/2014) power settings update 1.0 A01 (for model 5130), is supposed to launch a command window that closes almost immediately after it opens... does that mean it successfully installed? Before installing, I already did the regedit changes but wanted to install this anyway just in case it included other changes.
I was expecting at least a message box to reboot or restart, so my impression was that it failed, but not sure.
Thanks,
Woody

When it closes it means it was successfully installed.

Thanks for verifying it worked, yes, I should have mentioned it extracted the exe here: C:\dell\Drivers\2N173\SelSuspDisable.exe
Executing that file was almost instantaneous, so that's why I wasn't sure. Thanks again.

You can add a /V command line parameter to it for verbose mode. Once it changes the value from 1 to 0, it was successful. If you have trouble running it, try opening an administrative command prompt first.
I expect that this utility will fix or improve several issues, including:
- Intermittent travel and thin keyboard connectivity (if you have an early slim keyboard, you still might have the magnet issue - see that thread for more detail)
- Intermittent loss of WWAN after a suspend/resume cycle (edit 01/25/14 - removed WIFI, which I errantly included here)
- Intermittent loss of LAN or USB ports on desktop dock
I've sent this utility in beta out to a few users who have reported success and a couple others who have reported that their WIFI still can't always reconnect. It appears that there are a few compatibility issues with certain routers. We're still looking into this.
Please let me know how this works for you!

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power
Change the value of the key CsEnabled from 1 to 0 and reboot.
If you go now to advanced power options it should also show settings for e.g. wifi, and others. Changed it on our V8Ps, V11P 5130 and 7130 MS.
Try and it see if it does what you are looking for

Does this fix the screen flicker issue? My screen flickers heavily, whether it's plugged in or not.
