Venue 8 Pro Stylus alternatives
Does anyone know of any active styluses that are compatible with the Venue 8 Pro? Dell's pen was sold out and now it is not even listed on their shop site. I know I need one with Synaptics tech but I haven't found any. I am starting to get ticked off at Dell because the active digitizer was a big selling point for me over an older Surface RT. I assumed dell would get the pen restocked but instead they seem to be sweeping the whole thing under the rug.
In summation: I need an ACTIVE stylus for my Venue 8 Pro, any suggestions?

Unfortunately, you won't find any. The synaptics technology used in the Venue 8 and 11 Pro is brand new and never used before as far as I know. Which is why it has had so many issues, we are all early adopters.
Therefore, you won't find any other styluses that work with it. The absolute best you can do is pick up some dinky capacitive stylus.

Thanks for the reply. That is what I was afraid of. I really hope Dell makes some more pens as I would really like to pick one up. I knew it was not going to be Wacom quality/accuracy, but for general sketches in my university notes it seemed perfect...

That's the exact reason I wanted it too. I start college again in a few days and will not have this system for one of the main reasons I originally bought it for back in... November. -_-
It wouldn't have mattered anyway even if the stylus was working to me anyway, because I can't trust the particular unit I have to keep notes on; with the freezing issues and all that. Now I'm just waiting on a replacement unit to be processed for me so meh.
V8P seems really solid though unlike some models of V11. I know there was a big firmware update for V8P too that supposedly massively improved the stylus. I'd make sure you have that update of course.

I use the Adonis Jot Flip. Works well enough. I understand that most Adonis stylus will work with V8P.

I saw a stack of them at my local MicroCenter. Strange i just browsed their website and they are not listed. But i know for sure they are in the store hanging around the tablet section. I just can't pony up $35 for a stylus

Seems there is a quality problem. 750-AADH Rev A01 & A02 don't work well. Latest version 750-AAGN Rev A00 is reported to work well by several owners. I'm trying to return my A02 for a good one.

Actually, very variable as to the earlier stylus revisions--some people had no issue whatsoever. Quality control definitely was an issue.
