Screen adjustment/ font size etc.

OK folks what is the secret with the DVP8 ?

I had been using an ASUS eeePC for years as my road warrior.

I figured I would buy the DVP8 because it was lighter than the eeePC, had an 8" screen as opposed to a 7" screen, was much faster than the eeePC and had the latest Win system (8.1 versus XP).

So what's then problem?

Now that I'm on the road, everything sucks!

My two key apps (Firefox and Sunbird calendar) don't display their screens to adjust naturally the way my eeePC did.

I am forced to scroll right to left with the DVP8 where the eeePC fit everything on the screen perfectly.

Sunbird calendar doesn't display appointments to fit. The fonts are way too large. I didn't have to make any adjustment with the eeePC in this regard.

On the DVP8 I don't even know how to adjust for just one or two apps (not the overall system).

Any suggestions here?
