New OTA for Venue 7 and 8 users
For you Venue 7 3740 and 8 3840 owners a new OTA is available.
The updates include:

I feel there is a major problem with the Venue 3840 (zoom problem on Skype) and have been dealing with it for quite sometime. Totally frustrated by those in India "advancing it to their concern team". I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Texas. Two days later I got a call from the U.S. and they agreed for a refund. Dell may not appreciate me posting this but if it can save someone the months of dealing with their "tech support" then so be it. I have 5 Dell computers and never had to go through this before. Incidentally after they agreed for a refund I continued to get emails from India telling me they are advancing this issue. I always blindly trusted Dell in the past and never checked on the poor ratings on Amazon for this product or I would never have purchased it.

This OTA is only for the 3740 and 3840 and it should not be available for the 3730.

I've only had the tablet a little over a week now, and the software on my tablet has been upgraded to software version Venue8 3840_V2.10_141224-NonModem, but it is still completely unusable. It hangs and locks up on the simplest tasks with the same symptoms as listed in these threads and reviews:

Dell even sent me a replacement tablet and I have all of the updates for the 3840. They both still zoom in when connecting on Skype

Hello. Just to be sure, this new OTA is NOT also for a Venue 8 Pro (3845), is it? I bought one last month but haven't tried Skype yet. Thank you.
