Dell Venue 8 Pro Wake-Up issue after Windows 10 upgrade

Hello!

I've upgraded to the latest BIOS A11 and installed all pending Windows 8.1 upgrades before the Windows 10 release. Yesterday I upgraded to Windows 10.

Most things run quite well... but one annoying thing:

When the device goes to sleep, I can't wake it up most of the time. Can anyone confirm this issue or has a workaround?

Regards, Andreas

Thanks for posting . I saw that last night as well. Just before I was going to revert back to 8.1 I decided to check the driver page one more time and saw there were new files for the chipset and a few other drivers. Works beautifully now .

Thanks to Dell for getting these online.

I'm having the same problem.  I even tried a clean install of 10. Same issue. I've bee searching the web most of the day for a solution.  Nothing that's been posted as a solution for this issue for 8.1 seems to work for 10.  I'm getting ready to revert back to 8.1

Dell offers Win 10 drivers since yesterday.

For me it works now - I installed Chipset, WiFi and 3G drivers.

Go to the support page on the Dell website.  You can type in the code that should be on a tag somewhere on your tablet.  If the code is gone you can manually go through the process by giving it your tablet model and other information.

Once you have that information in it will take you to a page that has drivers specific to your tablet.

You can obtain the service tag using the command line: wmic csproduct get vendor, name, identifyingnumber

Same problem after upgrading to Windows 10.  Very annoying.  Have read same thing is happening with some HP computers.  Will be glad when this bug is fixed.

Just updated my Dell Venue 8 5830 Pro's BIOS to the most recent BIOS (A13, 11/27/2015) the Sleep/Wake problem with Windows 10 went away.  Perfect.  Ron

I had this problem with Win 8.1 and when I upgraded to Win 10, the problem was still there.  A week ago, I updated the bios and I think the graphics chipset or drivers or somesuch as recommended by the Dell automatic support widget and the problem went away for 2 days.  It has now come back and is seriously annoying.  Anyone else have the problem still, even after updating?  I am reluctant to try a clean re-install as that means having the correct installation files, drivers, serial numbers, blah, blah and I just know it will all go wrong.  Plus I would have to re-install my own carefully setup software, which would be a ball ache.  The device is virtually unuseable at the moment unless I am prepared to reboot nearly every time it goes to sleep (or into a coma more like).

Comments, solutions, workarounds etc gratefully received.  TIA

Well ***.  I didn't have this problem with Win 8.1, just Win 10.  Did the update last night (I've had my Venue 8 in a box for a year...didn't have time to set it up until now) and so far, so good.  But your post scares me.  I was just going to thank the others for posting on here when I read your post!!  In case I have trouble with "The Coma" again, I hope others will respond.
