Dell Venue 5130 Part 2 Slow Charge

Follow up to my firs thread regarding excessive drain on battery while plugged in. The other problem is SLOW Charge using Venue adapter and usb chord

Plugged in over night (7 hours) charged from 1% to 14% is this normal?

all I did was jiggle the connector to the Venue power port, applied a wee bit of pressure to make sure it was seated correctly and that solved my problem, now i have the correct value.

once logged into the services wind F12 on boot up error messages about the adapter was only a 3W adapter but indicated that a 23 watt adapter is required hence the battery drain to zero% when plugged in...very odd.

Dell support was not a lot of help other than to RMA, I fiddled with the connector to the Venue power port and presto I got the system to recognize the full adapter as a 23W no errors and charging normally

With any port that has constant use of push in / pull out will have ware tear but not after a couple of weeks.....My advice is to make sure the cord is well seated into the Venue power port..see if that resolves the recharge rate

My problem is not about cable or similar things. I installed dell power manager. Each time, I change the battery setting, it charges, well (in short time, 1,30-2 hours). But for the second time with same setting, it doesn't. I saw lots of problems about BIOS update and charge issues after that. It's not about cable or charger (I use original charger, came with the tablet.)

I checked my adapter from bios, and as you said it was 3W. How can you solve that?

I did as you said and it changed to 23W. I can not believe that. I have been using devices for years and years. If that was the reason, it means Dell uses cheap materials. And never buy again. Thank you.
