Dell Venue 11 Pro 5130 won't wake from sleep.

Been trying to resolve this issue for weeks looking at various forums. No Luck. I had to do a complete re-install of Windows from scratch because Windows refused to load one fine day and my Dell USB recovery drive effort failed and I couldn't otherwise repair the OS. Prior to that I did not have the sleep issue. After the re-install from a currently owned Windows 8 disk and subsequently updating to Windows 8.1 and then reloading all of the current Dell drivers the "won't wake from sleep issue" started. It's also complicated by the fact  Dell recognizes the BIOS Service Tag as a Model 7130 not the 5130 that it actually is. I'm hoping that the issue may lie in my BIOS settings somewhere so is it possible that someone who is not having the sleep issue can publish some BIOS settings that can at least give me a starting point that I can work from? Thanks, in advance for any help that can be rendered.

Got it back by.  I needed some additional stuff, but here's what I did: (1) using another Win 8.1 computer, created a bootable Windows 8.1 USB drive; (2) plugged a USB hub into the single USB port and then plugged my USB drive and a USB keyboard into the hub (with tablet detached from its regular keyboard)... (4) restart and hit F12 on the keyboard (5) select the USB drive for boot (6) go into settings and apply a factory refresh (the "soft type where it keeps my data).  Then it rebooted fine.

Theoretically I should've been able to hit F12 on the regular keyboard, but it's set up in such a way that it only does F12 when also hitting the Fn key, and for whatever reason that never worked.

Once on, I also just follwed advice here (en.community.dell.com/.../19534289) and removed the Service Packs KB2883200 and KB2887595.

In some instances the connection of a Bluetooth or usb device will result in an inability of the Venue to wake up.

I have a BT keyboard and it happens consistently. This is a known "issue" that relates to energy conservation. (Note: I realize that is an excuse and not a good reason...but that's Dell for you)

Solution: Turn of BT device (remove USB), then put Venue in sleep mode. Power button should wake it up. Reestablish BT connection.

There are possibly configuration/bios options but have not explored.

Didn't seem to work for me.  It's like the tablet "wants to" restart - I get the Dell splash with the little Windows "circles circling"... from there, blank black screen (with glow from the backloight).

Holding VolumeUp+Power booted me into a diagnostic mode, and there is over 50% battery on the tablet and 87% battery on the keyboard.  Plenty of power.

Sometimes plugging in the power cord also works. It can be a problem about power settings.

For me, I've now tried numerous things (every idea posted that I can find) since roughly 24 hours ago, including

 - plugged/unplugged

 - attached/detached

 - hold power down

 - remove battery to force a complete reboot

Very frustrating... basically I have a brick right now.

I would throw it like a brick out of my window if I were rich enough. That's why I will probably sell my device. Thanks to Dell for that unique feeling.
