Have just noted after the restart of the iDRAC I set SCG to Configure SNMP again and after a few minutes I have success.

Hello Abannister,

Do you have the Application version?

See link for Manually configure the alert destination for a server running Windows operating system

Hi Charles,

I have seen this article edits the SNMP Service.  On these servers there is only the SNMP Trap service which does not have the Trap Destinations Tab.  What I find strange is nothing has changed on this servers (apart from normal Microsoft/Dell updates) and everything was working ok until it just seem to stop.  This was setup by Dell engineers as well as part of our cluster implementation.

Hello Abannister,

Did you discover the servers by iDRACs or the Hosts themselves?

I see you mention only Microsoft and Dell updates were applied.

I have seen where SAE-020219, can be caused when port 162 is being blocked.

Were any changes made on the network or iDRAC when it quit working?

Hi,  Nothing has been changed on the iDRAC or the network.  I have been using the DELL EMC Troubleshooting tool and with SNMP Listener on the Support Connect server and then send test SNMP using the same tool from the server and trap is successfully received.   However, if I use IDRAC and send SNMP test nothing received.

Still troubleshooting...

Actions so far:

  1. Reinstall Dell Secure Connect Gateway and reset up
  2. Restarted iDRAC
  3. Using Dell EMC Troubleshooting tool, SNMPListerner.exe on the SCG and using same tool to SEND Trap.  Trap is received.  However I note the IP address is in the same range as the iDRAC Settings, OS to iDRAC Pass-through but the IP address is not the same as what was sent in the SNMP trap.  Sending test from IDRAC, SNMP Traps Configuration, Send test SNMP trap fails to be received on the SCG server.
