racadm update is missing downgrade option
Hi there. I am looking to downgrade firmware components as specified in the catalog via racadm.
I see in the iDRAC 9 > Maintenance > System Update > Manual Update the option is there for
Additional Filter Options: Apply Downgrade Versions
but the same is not available for racadm update ?
Is this on the roadmap?

Hi,
I'm unsure if the command for RACADM -r is available for the command #update, but to check with you, are you using the command fwupdate or update for RACADM to update firmware. PS: I do not have a test unit to check on the command available for iDRAC 9 RACADM if it works.
If you are using #racadm set update.Embedded.1.UpdateRepositoryLocation https://downloads.dell.com/catalog, you can try using racadm update -u -r (with the -u option to apply the downgrade and the include the -r option to allow downgrades.)
If it doesn't work, I may suggest contact the support line to raise a case for feature enhancement.

@DELL-Joey C according to the idrac9 manual[1], in repository mode the -u option is for specifying the CIFS user and -r is not even mentioned.

Hello, to add further to this question
"Additional Filter Options: Apply Downgrade Versions

Is this on the roadmap?"
so if you want to use catalogues and downgrade firmware there are other tools like OME for example.
