VMAX3 gakekeepers and discovery
We have a new VMAX3 in for testing but I'm finding v.little information via the support pages around the basic discovery etc.
Do EMC pre-define ACLX or equivalent in the factory to particular front-end ports?, or should I be able to discover via any port on the array?, should my CE be defining GK's for discovery?
Appreciate any guidance.
Regards, Owen

Owen,
you should be able to discover the array from any port by default, The ACLX will be visible on all Front End FC ports on the V3 unless you choose to hide it.
symconfigure -sid xxx -cmd "set port 2e:8 show_aclx_device=DISABLE;" commit -nop
Once discovered you can manage by creating 6 GK and masking to your management host view.

hi Paul,
Thank you for the confirmation.
Turns out a command was missed during the factory build to 'show ACLX' on front-end ports therefore we couldn't discover down any port.
This was corrected following discussion with CE and we're now up and running.
