you will need to create a concat meta. I think you will need to unmap it first, try it with a test device.

At this time you cannot take a thin device and expand it by making it a meta volume. The only way you can make a thin device a meta is prior to binding it to a pool; once it is a meta you can expand it (conactenated meta). I do hope that this is a function that EMC adds in with a future code release.
