updating radeon software
Hi,
I got an Inspiron 8350 with core i7, 8gb ram and 256ssd which is still under warranty. The amd radeon software notified me that it needs updating. It won't update using dell update or support assisst. Is there another way to update it? I looked around inside the radeon software but couldn't find an update button or link.
Thanks

ferreirah,
Was the notification for Dell or Radeon to update the software?

I don't know where the notification comes from. It just sometimes appear in my system tray. When I go to both dell update and support assisst it doesn't find any updates. The radeon is my amd graphics card. I think it may be the radeon software itself that suggests that there is an update available. Should I worry about this or can I ignore it?

Hi,
Yesterday I phoned Dell's tech support hotline. They said if I am not experiencing any issues with my display, I can ignore the update messages.

I went to AMD's web site and downloaded the latest radeon software. There is now a new setting which allows you to update from within the software without reaching for your browser. After a couple of weeks they notified me about a new version of the software and I just clicked the update button. Everything is ok now. Pitty Dell's update program doesn't pick up the radeon software updates.
