Support Assist hardware scan not working; says I need to restart my PC. I did, but nothing changed. It keeps telling me the same thing.

I have the same reboot requirement that I can not get to end. If I have support correct...they reinstall Support Assist and correct something else (they wont tell me) it will work 1 time but returns to the "requires reboot" problem. This has been going on for at least 6 months.

I have this same issue only it's with the Check for Updates portion. It fails every time. I've restarted, shut down, reinstalled support assist so many times and it still does not work. I went through Dell Support for days and 4 technicians and finally they told me it will be resolved in the next Support Assist update, but they have no idea when that update will be made available.

Every time Dell fixes this issue it breaks again. Oh, and it's always going to be fixed in the next update.

Is this related to a Service Plan: Warranty has expired tag?

I don't think these tasks should expire with the Service Plan, does everyone else on this thread also have this issue but does have an existing warranty?

I still got my Warranty so that can't be the reason.

I got the Blue Screen of Death recently, likely related to 24H2, so I reset my computer. After the reset, when I try to use Support Assist, it keeps on tell me they are updating Support Assist and tell me to take a break and try it again later. I uninstall, download and install the Support Assist. The installation is fine but when I tried to run it. I got error from check for update, scan hardware, boost performance and optimize network. Like you guys I am getting the request for restart loop. 

No Events found!
